Botetourt County, Virginia
In 1770, Botetourt County extended to the Mississippi River and included the future site of Chicago on the southern shores of Lake Michigan, the entire state of Kentucky, most of Indiana and Illinois, and huge portions of Ohio and West Virginia.
Botetourt County lies at the southern end of the Valley of Virginia. Fincastle, pop. 359, remains the county seat. The population is divided between traditional small towns and farms and rapidly expanding suburbs of the City of Roanoke. The industrial base is centered on precision manufacturing, service/distribution centers and communications.
Our office is centrally located near the I-81 and US 220 interchange to serve the Roanoke metropolitan area as well as Botetourt County.

Botetourt County General District Court: (540) 473-8244. Traffic, Misdemeanors, Preliminary Hearings for Felonies, Civil Claims up to $15,000.00. Most decisions other than custody may be appealed for a new trial in Circuit Court with a right to a jury trial. All appeals must be noted within 10 days of judgment.
Botetourt County J&DR Court: (540) 473-8244. Child Custody and Support, Spousal Support, Juvenile and Family Crimes. All decisions may be appealed for a new trial in the Circuit Court with a right to a jury trial except for Custody Cases. Appeals must be noted within 10 days of judgment.
Botetourt County Circuit Court: (540) 473-8274. Felony trials, Misdemeanor trials on appeal, civil claims over $15,000.00, Injunctions, Divorce, Child Custody and Support, Spousal Support.
Continuances: All Clerk's offices may arrange first continuances within certain guidelines. Other continuances generally require an appearance by counsel or the personal appearance of the party.
